We are the sum total of our experiences.

Like flowing water, our experiences (and those yet to come) continue to influence and reshape the person we are, as well as the person we become.

~BJ Neblett

This is why it’s so very important to invest in experiences instead of material things.

Ever since I began to intentionally pursue meaningful experiences instead of things, I began to understand so much more about my place in the world. When I met Josh, and realized he had the very same minimalist outlook, I knew the universe had great plans for our future together.

Now that we have children, we understand that random kid ephemera may come into our lives briefly, without significance.

And that’s ok - it’s our season of kid stuff. Instead of placing importance on things, we place focus on how we spend our days and the experiences we have together. ⠀

Minimalism is a lifestyle that can have a profound impact on individuals and their families.

Do you have a minimalist tip or story to share? I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts 💚⠀

With gratitude, Ali
